We Sell And Install Three Varieties of Storm Shelters in Miami

• High-Density Polyethylene Storm Shelters

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Shelters offer rust proof, waterproof, durable, long-lasting storm shelters ─ resistant to environmental stress and mechanical damage. With a 50-year guarantee, HDPE is an engineered polymer…a polyethylene thermoplastic made with a mold. High-Density Polyethylene is also commonly used for: boat lifts and personal watercraft docks, plastic bottles, jugs, food containers, storage bags, underground piping and culverts, plastic lumber and decking, cutting boards, auto parts, toys, etc.. It is the ultimate in Corrosion Protection.

• Hot Dip Galvanized Storm Shelters

Our Hot Dip Galvanized storm shelters are made of 10 gauge sheet metal and leak tested ─ providing protection against rust and corrosion for a long-lasting, maintenance free storm shelter. With a 50 year guarantee Hot Dip Galvanizing is the process of dipping fabricated steel into a kettle or vat containing molten zinc. While the steel is in the kettle, the iron from the steel metallurgically reacts with the molten zinc to form a tightly-bonded alloy coating that offers superior corrosion protection to steel. Using zinc to protect steel from corrosion (hot-dip galvanizing) is a 150-year-old practice! Our Galvanized FlatSafe storm shelter is made of 10 gauge sheet metal. All welds are leak-tested to ensure they will not allow ground water to seep into the shelter. Following the protector is fabricated, the device is Hot-Dip Galvanized to protect your investment for an expected 50+ years.

• Coal Tar Epoxy Storm Shelters

Coal Tar Epoxy is a heavy duty, high build protective coating which has high durability, is resistant to most corrosive reagents, and is excellent at sealing out moisture. It is commonly used in industrial and marine environments. It is primarily applied to steel to protect it from corrosion and rust. It is frequently seen on steel vessel hulls, underground water and oil tanks and pipelines, offshore oil rigs, and dam gates. Our Coal Tar Epoxy underground storm shelter is made of 10 gauge sheet metal. All welds are leak-tested to ensure they will not allow ground water to seep into the shelter. After the shelter is fabricated, we apply a thick coating of Coal Tar Epoxy into the outside of the shelter. The Coal Tar Epoxy bonds to the steel and serves to protect the outside of the steel shelter from rust and corrosion. The interior of the storm shelter is painted with red oxide primer paint to protect the steel on the inside from rust and corrosion.

All of our Storm Shelters Are Equipped With Our Single Piece Lid System

All of our underground storm shelters that we sell and install in Miami come with our patented single piece lid system. The lid is 1/4″ thick steel plate with added structural tubing to provide additional strength. The single-piece lid is larger than the frame of the saferoom opening and sits above the frame, not down within the frame. Our lid system is MUCH stronger than the typical 2-piece lid system offered by everyone else and provides more than adequate ventilation to the occupants.
